Burger time

This activity is not only funny, but also a great tool to show groups how patients and consideration they have for one another.
In a profit orientated company time = money. This is no new concept in the contemporary world. The fact is that teams are what they are.
Therefore, one is in many cases faced with people that are different in many ways. The one thing we cannot run away from is the fact that we need to deal with one another's differences. For this reason building burgers together is a very useful activity.
How does it work?
Let the group sit in either a straight line or circle. Place all the ingredients they need for preparing a nice Burger in front of them. Make sure all the ingredients are spaced properly on the table.
Then tell them that they have to build their own burger for lunch by using only the ingredients they have in front of them.
The catch is that each member of the team will be connected by the wrists with either rope or string. They have no limit in time to complete the activity as it will serve as their lunch. They may not be untied in order to eat the burger, this is part of the activity.
See how they interact in the building and eating of the burgers.
Ask them how it felt to do the activity. Facilitate the answers and try to focus on the frustrations that were experienced.
Enjoy your lunch.
