What’s more, is that, we, as human beings are tribal creatures. Change Management Program...Thriving In Permanent White WaterWe live in exponential times where the rate of change is getting faster and faster. The world around us as individuals and organizations are changing faster and faster and we have to adapt. We liken the pace and amount of change today to being in Permanent White-water. Anyone who has done white-water rafting will know that you need to work really hard to make sure you get through the rapids, then you get to relax... And here’s the notion of Permanent White-water. That we are traveling down the river, and there aren’t any more periods of calm water after the rapids...in fact it is rapid, after rapid, meaning change upon change upon change. We can’t expect a long period of calm after a period of change anymore because things are changing too quickly. During this program, we aim to get people to see change as an adventure. In any adventure, we have a choice. We can try to simply SURVIVE it...clinging to the hope that we will get to the end unscathed or... Emotional Intelligence Program...Growing the EQ Muscle TogetherEmotional Intelligence is at the core of having a mature and productive workforce. Emotional intelligence (also known as EQ) refer to your ability to effectively manage yourself and your relationships, like your relationships with your employees and co-workers Previously people’s intelligence was only measured by there IQ (Intelligence Quotient). Employees were hired on their cognitive or technical skills and very few people measured new employees on their ability to interact with other people. A couple of years ago another form of intelligence has emerged as essential to success in work and life - emotional intelligence. Daniel Coleman, a key thinker and researcher in the field, has suggested that with regards to excellent job performance, EQ has been shown to be twice as important as cognitive ability and technical skills. This doesn’t mean that IQ isn’t important. But it seems to be more of an entry level requirement. The good news is that while your IQ is fixed and you can’t seem to change it, you can develop and grow your EQ. It is like any muscle in your body. The more you train it, the stronger it becomes.
